Baseball before Jackie Robinson:

Long before Jackie Robinson, A man named Moses Fleetwood Walker played baseball. Walker was born in Ohio in 1856. While at Oberlin College, he became interested in baseball. In 1883 he joined the Toledo Mud Hens, thus becoming the first african american to play for a major league team.
